Welcome to the MalaMaker home page, owner of Maker86 Industries (https://maker86.com)
Every little bit helps to share what I do with the world... plus it is not cheap (psst... don't tell me wife). The more support I have the easier it is to provide more content and projects for you to enjoy. The best way to support my work is to buy my product on the Maker86 Industries web store. Not only are you supporting me but you are supporting the life saving research and treatment provided by St Jude Children's Research Hospital. See 'About Me' for why I support St Jude so heavily.

I am a maker through and through. By day I am a lead Identity and Access Management software developer for a Fortune 100 company. In my personal life I build things in all kinds of different mediums from fabrication, metalworking, machining, woodworking, plastics, resins, silicons, upholstery, sewing, anodizing, electronics, and programming / scripting.

In the world of Making and STEAM, I have never met a challenge that I haven't at least considered. Building things is my life... that is what makes me love doing my day job... I plan and build things just with computers. Since I was a little kid I have been in a garage or shop building stuff.

Me at age 15
There was a time in my life in my early teen years that due to health reasons I couldn't physically build things like I was use to and that is when I discovered a way to build things through computer programming and scripting.

Surviving Cancer (Finished Treatment October 2001), I have lived my life meeting challenges head on! Life is too short to not enjoy it, learn from it and give back! I live my personal and hobby that way. In my personal life I give back to St Jude Children's Research Hospital by Raising money and participating in the St Jude Memphis to Peoria Run... yes Memphis, TN to Peoria, IL. As of 2021, I have done the run for 19 years and have raised over $112,800. But... Not only do I run but I also contribute my skills to keep the runners safe.

In my hobby life just like in my personal life no medium is considered out of reach. If there is something I want to do and requires a new skill, I figure out how to learn and make the project happen, and share the knowledge. This has led me to learn a vast array of things over the years. Some of the mediums/tools for making I have used or worked with are...
- Metal Working (Welding, Cutting, Fabrication)
- Aluminum Anodizing
- CNC Machining / Cutting (Woods, Plastics, Fabrics, Metals)
- 3D Printing
- Silicone Casting
- Resin Casting
- Aluminum / Brass Casting
- PCB Design / Soldering / Microprocessor Programming
- Electrical
- Vacuum Forming
- Powder Coating
- Concrete Creations (Countertops and Furniture)
- Woodworking
- Sewing (Fabrics and upholstery)
- 3D Parametric Design
- Animatronics, Special Effects and Mechatronics
- Audio, Lighting and Video
- Coding / Programming / Server DevOps (C, C++, Python, Java, C#, Bash, and many many more)
